Faces of Expression is a program focused on developing and instilling high self-esteem and positively promoting creativity through artistic expression. Mrs. Johnson understands the importance of building confidence, encouraging individuality, and positively reinforcing creativity. For these reasons, the children (after learning a few important skills) will have full control of the end-of-summer production, performance, or presentation. This strategy will strengthen positive peer relationships, public speaking ability, as well as help those who are “in a shell” come out.

We take a S.T.E.A.M. approach to learning with a highlight on having fun! We incorporate science, technology, engineering, math and the Arts to our daily routine. Yes, it's the summer, however, there is a way to learn and have fun at the same time. That's just what we do! We explore science through experiments, channel our inner creativity through art and drama, implement math skills while designing and making clothes, and take time to learn about and practice communicating. That's not it, there's so much more! 

The kids are campers but Mrs. Johnson likes to call them artists. So,the artists will be proud and excited to present to their families and friends their very own end-of-summer creation. Studies have shown that when children strengthen their communication skills, they perform better educationally and socially.
